As a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we belong to the Pacific Southwest Region, which includes over 100 churches, ministries, and universities from Southern California, Southern Nevada, and Hawaii. Through Regional Ministries, we are able to extend the impact of our individual church and see a diverse expression of gifts and perspectives from other members.
First Christian Church of Fullerton has a long history of participating with other churches and faith communities in north Orange County. We are active in the Fullerton Interfaith Ministerial Association, which coordinates interfaith events throughout the year, as well as Fullerton ACT, a group of churches and ministries responding to needs of our city.
Education is very important to our congregation and we are involved with several school districts and universities in Fullerton and Orange County, through our members and programs.
We support several educational initiatives through the Pacific Southwest Region:
We are affiliated with Chapman University in Orange and share ties with Hope International University in Fullerton.
The Disciples Seminary Foundation supports graduate and doctoral studies at Claremont School of Theology, the Pacific School of Religion, San Francisco Theological Seminary, and the Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry. Each of these programs produce diverse leaders who are equipped and inspired for ministry in a rapidly changing world.
